IC 1318 consists of the brightest portions of nebulosity around Sadr (Gamma Cygni), the central star in Cygnus. It is subdivided into three portions. IC 1318(a) is the lower left portion of the Butterfly Nebula to the left of Sadr and IC 1318(b) is the upper right portion. IC 1318(c) is the triangle-shaped nebulosity at top center. At bottom right of the image is NGC 6888, the Crescent Nebula.
